Job description

- Independent management and development of public relations, as well as responsibility for the HIU's media presence and overall communication - Maintenance of the website and creation of promotional and informational materials - Close collaboration with research staff to ensure the successful external presentation of research findings - Daily management of the HIU's social media presence on LinkedIn and YouTube - Organization and support of group visits (including those from politics and business), as well as camera crews and journalists - Participation in the organization of conferences, workshops, and events such as "Girls' Day" and "Academy Weeks" - Support for the academic director in the creation of presentations - Contact person for press inquiries for the HIU and close collaboration with the press offices of the two partner universities The workplace is located in Ulm.

Personal Qualification

- A completed university degree (Master's) in Communication Management, Communication Studies, Media Studies, or Public Relations, or a comparable field, or a Bachelor's degree with many years of relevant professional experience - Several years of professional experience in media and/or science communication - Interest in current research topics - Experience in press and public relations for associations, companies, or public institutions, as well as in social media management - Sound knowledge of common tools and platforms in the digital industry, as well as standard content management systems - Ability to present complex topics in a target-group-oriented, structured, and solution-focused manner - Knowledge of event communication and search engine optimization (SEO) would be advantageous - Strong communication skills and excellent written and verbal expression in German and English - Enjoyment of working independently as well as in a team
