Transfer of Technology

Outreach towards industrial partners

When research, teaching and business find a common basis, projects and collaborations arise that bring benefits to everyone involved. That is why the exchange between research and industry is particularly encouraged at the HIU.

The employees of the Helmholtz Institute Ulm maintain close contacts with researchers in industry through a series of programs. The HIU thus offers the best conditions for a successful transfer between science and industry.

Technology transfer at the HIU is promoted with by the following activities:

- Funding of cooperation projects from the early phase through to planning, declaration of intent, application for funding and implementation

- Organization of workshops and training programs for the targeted exchange of knowledge

- Participation in trade fairs, conferences and corresponding online formats

- Offers for young researchers

Third Party Projects

As an excellent research facility, the Helmholtz Institute Ulm (HIU) offers companies from industry an interesting platform for cooperation in the field of electrochemical energy storage. The HIU's future concept provides for an expansion of cooperation with industry: Companies are granted adequate access to the latest results from basic research and, in return, scientists at the HIU can incorporate their work into practice-oriented applications and thus make innovations usable.

The HIU already cooperates in various third-party funded projects with companies from industry.
