There was a lot of wind in the north, low exchange electricity prices, the power plants in the south were not used, pumped storage then bought a lot of electricity, the north-south lines had too little capacity and so power plants in the south were activated for redispatch. We discuss the electricity price zones, a reform of the merit order as well as the power lines and grid expansion.
